SAFETY & STUDENT WELLBEING

Empowering educators to lead with confidence, care and clarity in dynamic learning environments. 

Workshop 1: Risk Management Essentials (2 hours)

Gain the tools to anticipate, assess, and mitigate risk when leading students beyond the classroom. This practical session empowers and equips you with a robust educator’s risk management toolkit—designed for diverse age groups and real-world contexts—so you can lead off-campus learning with confidence and clarity.


Workshop 2: Rethinking Child Safeguarding (2 hours)

Go beyond checklists to explore a holistic approach to safeguarding grounded in physical, intellectual, emotional, and social wellbeing. This session reframes safeguarding not as compliance, but as advocacy—anchored in mindful practice, child rights, and globally informed principles that elevate policy and practice.


Workshop 3: Emotional First Aid for Educators (2 hours)

Learn how to respond to student distress with empathy and skill. This workshop introduces practical strategies for emotional regulation, needs-based language, and non-violent communication—essential tools for creating safe, supportive, and emotionally resilient learning environments.

EXPERIENTIAL PEDAGOGY IN PRACTICE

Designing dynamic, inclusive and meaningful learning experiences that stick.

Workshop 1: Designing a Conflict Resolution Curriculum (2 hours)

From playground disputes to peer dynamics, this workshop empowers you to embed conflict resolution as a core life skill across year levels. Discover age-appropriate strategies to help students identify emotions, use authentic language, set community agreements, and co-create sustainable solutions.


Workshop 2: Bringing Experiential Learning into the Classroom (2 hours)

Learn how to weave experiential principles into everyday teaching. Grounded in theories of group development, flow and reflective practice, this session will help you transform lessons into learner-led journeys that build connection, curiosity, and critical thinking.

Workshop 3: Reclaiming FUNN in Learning (2 hours)

First introduced by Karl Rohnke, FUNN (Functional Understanding Not Necessary) redefines fun as a pedagogical strategy—one that fosters psychological safety, deep engagement, and sustained learning. This workshop explores how “fun” is not about entertainment, but about crafting experiences that are well-scaffolded, emotionally attuned, and developmentally appropriate. Whether in classrooms or outdoor settings, you’ll gain practical tools to design learning environments where students feel safe to take risks, stay curious, and build authentic connections with content and community.
